Good Purchase, made the lady happyApr 22, 2010
By R. Nguyen I bought this for my GF, and she loves it. She takes BART into work everyday so the nice small compact size works out well. It is automatic opening, but you have to push the last little bit to lock it in. It's no hassle, but just wanted to clarify it's automatic abilities. In mild to moderate wind gusts, it hasn't inverted and doesn't seem like it wants to. Chances are, my GF would fly away before it inverted. Simple presents makes the ladies happy.

By rhody Very nice product. Was exactly as stated, but it turned out to be too short for me. Company was wonderful about refund, they get 5 stars.

Snapped first time outFeb 28, 2011
By J. Klinghoffer First time out with this umbrella was a blustery day in New York City. Gusts up to 35 MPH. Umbrella busted almost instantly. Definitely feel like the construction of this umbrella wasn't what it was cracked up to be.

SunshineMay 07, 2007

So far so good with this umbrella. It opens and closes automatically but when it closes - only the top part collapses. Still a great help on those rainy days when I'm carrying my daughter and bags and trying to get into the car quickly. I'd buy it again!

Spend less effort fighting the windApr 08, 2009
By Hattori Hanpei Unique overlapping design of the canopy allows wind gusts to escape and make it less likely for your umbrella to flip over or fly away. Seems a little on the small size though.
